Hard Copy Submissions shall not be accepted. * The intent of this RFP is to select a consulting team with extensive experience in the design and implementation of electrical substations, transformers and generators, and further, to perform contract administration and site inspection services during the construction phase, as described within. Joint Ventures Proponents are not permitted to submit joint ventures. NON-MANDATORY SITE VISIT The non-mandatory Site Visit (the “Meeting”) will take place on December 18, 2024, at 9:30 AM, with the assembly point being 167 Bradford St, Barrie, ON L4N 3B4. The City of Barrie strongly encourages all proponents to attend. Proponents will be notified of any changes in advance by email through the Bidding System. The Meeting will begin with a presentation of the scope of work followed by a site visit/walk through. The purpose of this site visit is to allow proponents the opportunity to better understand the scope of work, the challenges, as well as visually inspect the site of the proposed location of the new 44 kV electrical substation, 4.16 kV transformer, generators and site limitations. Questions will not be answered during the Meeting. Proponents are asked to submit any questions through the Bidding System using the “Submit a Question” link associated with this bid opportunity. All proponents must pre-register for the Meeting by submitting a request to attend through the Bidding System using the “Submit a Question” link associated with this bid opportunity. Proponents will be required to request attendance before the deadline of 12:00 PM (noon) on December 17, 2024. Proponents who have pre-registered will meet at 167 Bradford St, Barrie, ON L4N 3B4 at 9:30 AM on December 18, 2024. Proponents are requested to strictly adhere to the 9:30 AM start time. Additional time will not be provided to late proponents. Proponents are required to wear personal protective clothing, and CSA approved safety footwear. Safety equipment will not be provided by the City. Documents will not be available at the Meeting.
