Next Generation 9-1-1 (“NG9-1-1”) is the transition of 9-1-1 from analogue systems to IP-based systems. The change will enhance emergency numbers (9-1-1) services to create a faster, more resilient system allowing voice, data, photos, videos, and text messages to flow seamlessly from the public to 9-1-1. The City is seeking proposals for the provision of NG9-1-1 technology, implementation services and operational NG9-1-1 support and services for Barrie Fire and Emergency Services. It is the objective of BFES to procure from one (1) proponent (i.e., a single organization), who can provide both virtual and as required an onsite presence.
