This RFP is an invitation by the City to prospective proponents to submit proposals to provide design and consulting services for the development of the new Barrie Fire and Emergency Service (“BFES”) Station 6, as further described within this appendix. Proponents should be architectural firms licensed to carry business in the Province of Ontario as the successful proponent will act as the prime consultant and provide consulting services in accordance with this RFP and its attachments. The successful proponent will be responsible for the completion of a comprehensive design to reflect current and emerging best practices in sustainability, carbon neutrality, resiliency, net zero, and design excellence. The successful proponent will be responsible for undertaking tasks such as design services for the schematic design phase, design development phase, construction documents phase, permitting and approvals, construction phase, contract administration, close-out and associated site requirements required for the new construction of the project. * Electronic Submissions Only.
